“Golden Seven: Strike Again!” (続 黄金の七人/レインボー作戦), Original Release Japanese Movie Poster 1966, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) ZA737

Sale price $110.00

This is an original Japanese B2 poster issued in Japan for the theatrical release of Golden Seven: Strike Again! (1966), released in Japanese as 続 黄金の七人/レインボー作戦. A stylish Euro-caper sequel in the mid-1960s “sleek crime + pop-art glamour” mode, the film blends heist-planning cool with mod fashion, spy-tech flair, and playful sophistication—exactly the kind of continental genre cinema that Japanese distributors promoted with exceptionally graphic, design-forward posters.

Poster design

An outstanding piece of mid-60s modernist poster art—clean, conceptual, and incredibly frame-friendly. The composition is built around a target-like circular graphic (concentric colour bands) that doubles as a visual “operation” diagram, containing a moody male face and silhouettes of vehicles/tech—pure heist iconography. The right side is dominated by a full-length, latex-clad blonde figure with a sharp bob haircut—high-fashion, pop-culture provocation that screams 1960s Europe. Along the bottom, the bold Japanese title typography 「続 黄金の七人」 in oversized blue and red is paired with 「レインボー作戦」 in purple, creating a striking three-colour typographic hit. Small figures, guns, and agents scattered across the lower section add scale and narrative without clutter. A spectacular display piece for collectors of 1960s graphic design, Euro-crime cinema, and mod-era visual culture.
