This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1997 for Wong Kar-wai’s Happy Together (Japan title: ブエノスアイレス), starring Leslie Cheung and Tony Leung Chiu-wai with Chang Chen. A defining work of 1990s world cinema, it won Best Director at the 50th Cannes Film Festival, and remains one of Wong’s most emotionally raw films—an aching, neon-lit love story of intimacy, rupture, and the long road back (or away).

Design
A design-forward, minimalist masterpiece: a huge, grainy green sky stretches across the sheet like a washed-out memory, with the lovers locked in an embrace at the very bottom—tiny against the world. The Japanese title 「ブエノスアイレス」 dominates the top in bold white, while the red vertical copy and Spanish “Fin del mundo” motif (Tierra del Fuego) underline the film’s themes of distance, drift, and desire. Quietly devastating and instantly recognisable—one of the most iconic Japanese one-sheets for Wong Kar-wai.
