This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed for the Japanese release of Jaws 2, the 1978 sequel to Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster, directed by Jeannot Szwarc and again starring Roy Scheider as police chief Martin Brody. Set several years after the original, the film finds a new great white terrorising the resort town of Amity, this time targeting a group of teenagers at sea.

Film background
While unable to replicate the seismic impact of the first film, Jaws 2 became a major box‑office hit in its own right and helped solidify the shark as a permanent fixture of pop‑culture horror. Its tagline “Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water…” has entered the cultural lexicon, and the film remains beloved for its sun‑drenched suspense and teen‑survival angle.
