This is an original Japanese B2 promotional poster produced for the PlayStation 2 release campaign of Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation vs. Zeon DX (機動戦士ガンダム 連邦vs.ジオンDX), the landmark 2-on-2 team battle action title that helped define the long-running Gundam “VS” game lineage. The PS2 edition was released in Japan on 6 December 2001, published by Bandai and developed by Capcom.
Design
A superb, illustration-forward key visual credited on the poster to Yoshikazu Yasuhiko (安彦良和): the RX-78-2 Gundam towers at centre, flanked by iconic One Year War faces and machines—Char in crimson, Zeon mobile suits looming in the shadows, and a cockpit-view pilot anchoring the foreground—creating a dense, heroic collage that reads instantly as “Universal Century.” The PlayStation 2 mark sits at the top right, while the bottom margin confirms “NOT FOR SALE”—a true piece of period game-promotion ephemera rather than a retail print.
Condition
