"Onna Tobakushi Norikomu" (1973) – Original Japanese B2 Poster
女賭博師乗り込む | Toei Studios | Starring Kyōko Enami | 大映映画

A stunning and colorful B2-size original Japanese poster for Onna Tobakushi Norikomu (女賭博師乗り込む), the 1973 installment of Toei’s iconic "Woman Gambler" (Onna Tobakushi) series. Kyōko Enami commands the center once more as the fearless gambler “Hana,” clad in a regal purple kimono adorned with a fierce white dragon — the perfect symbol of her defiant strength in a male-dominated world of high-stakes deceit.

The design bursts with dramatic energy: a modern woman in a striped shirt leaps mid-action with a dice cup; another in a shimmering cheongsam poses with icy confidence; while a shadowy gambling den looms in the background. Around them, the supporting cast — a mix of schemers, rivals, and allies — reflect the layered web of tension and betrayal central to the film.

Directed by Shigeo Tanaka and photographed by Yoshio Nakagawa, this entry pushes the genre forward by blending traditional gambler film aesthetics with bold visual flair and contemporary attitude.

An essential poster for collectors of Japanese exploitation, female action cinema, or the enduring legacy of Kyōko Enami and Toei’s golden era of Showa cinema.
