This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1999 for the first release of Pokémon: The Movie 2000 (劇場版ポケットモンスター 幻のポケモン ルギア爆誕), one of the most iconic early-era Pokémon films. Centred on the legendary Lugia and the forces of nature embodied by the legendary birds, it’s a peak-cinema entry from the franchise’s first wave of theatrical phenomenon in Japan.

Design
A classic late-’90s Pokémon blockbuster layout: Lugia erupts from a churning, oceanic vortex at centre, framed by swirling skies and the silhouettes of legendary birds above. Ash and Pikachu appear at top left, with the familiar supporting cast clustered along the lower edges—instantly placing the film in its original era. The huge metallic title treatment 「ルギア爆誕」 dominates the bottom with powerful wall presence, while the “Pikachu short” branding at lower right completes the authentic Japanese theatrical campaign look.
