"Pokémon the Movie 3: Emperor of the Crystal Tower – Entei (劇場版ポケットモンスター 結晶塔の帝王 ENTEI)", Original Japanese Theatrical Poster 2000, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O262
This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 2000 for Kunihiko Yuyama’s third Pokémon feature, commonly known in English as Pokémon 3: The Movie – Spell of the Unown: Entei. Produced by OLM and set in the Johto era, the film pits Ash and friends against reality-warping Unown and the majestic Legendary Beast Entei. Released at the height of Poké-mania, it expanded the franchise’s mythology and introduced the beloved short “Pichu and Pikachu (ピチューとピカチュウ)”, debuting the Pichu Brothers on screen.
Film background
With designs by Ken Sugimori and music by Shinji Miyazaki, the movie blends family drama with high-concept fantasy as the Unown manifest a crystal world around a lonely girl. The feature helped cement Entei’s status in the Legendary pantheon and showcased second-generation favorites like Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile alongside series leads Ash, Misty, and Brock.
Poster design
A colorful, action-packed one-sheet: the roaring Entei dominates the left foreground, its steel-like mane and spikes thrusting toward a charging Ash & Pikachu on the right. In the distance, soaring crystal spires and a snaking chain of Unown glyphs frame the sky—visual shorthand for the film’s reality-bending threat. Along the base, the massive chrome title 「結晶塔の帝王」 sits over the English subtitle “Lord of the ‘UNKNOWN’ Tower”, with character cameos (Misty clutching Togepi, Brock, Professor Oak) and the banner for the attached short 「ピチューとピカチュウ」. Standard Toho/OLM credits and 2000 campaign marks finish the lower border.
