"Pokémon the Movie: Dialga vs Palkia vs Darkrai (劇場版ポケットモンスター ダイヤモンド&パール ディアルガVSパルキアVSダークライ)", Original Japanese Theatrical Poster 2007, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O263
This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 2007 for Kunihiko Yuyama’s 10th Pokémon feature, the first film of the Diamond & Pearl era. Set in the baroque canal city of Alamos Town, the story collides the Sinnoh legendaries Dialga (time) and Palkia (space) while the Mythical Darkrai tries to avert catastrophe. Released for the franchise’s 10th anniversary, it introduced Sinnoh’s cast to cinema audiences and became one of the defining posters of the DP cycle.
Film background
Produced by OLM with character designs by Ken Sugimori and music by Shinji Miyazaki, the film pairs epic cosmic stakes with series-heart: Ash, Dawn, Brock and their partners race to decode a tower’s melody that can quell the warring deities. The movie helped cement Darkrai’s popularity and set visual/thematic cues for the next two entries in the Sinnoh trilogy.
Poster design
A dramatic ensemble layout: Dialga (left) and Palkia (right) loom titanically over Alamos, while Darkrai hovers at the zenith with a swirling dimensional rift. Ash, Pikachu, Dawn, Piplup, Brock and Sinnoh favorites (Turtwig, Croagunk, Buizel, Buneary, Ambipom, etc.) anchor the foreground. Lightning fissures and storm clouds frame the city’s twin spires, leading the eye down to the bold chrome title 「ディアルガVSパルキア VS ダークライ」 divided by a crimson lightning bolt. Credit blocks, TV Tokyo/Toho marks and the official movie website complete the footer.
