“The Girl on a Motorcycle” (あの胸にもういちど / La Motocyclette), Original Release Japanese Movie Poster 1968, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) P135

Sale price $275.00

This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1968 for the first Japanese release of The Girl on a Motorcycle (released in Japan as あの胸にもういちど), the cult European romance-drama directed by Jack Cardiff and starring Marianne Faithfull opposite Alain Delon.

Film background
A quintessential late-1960s “continental” mood piece—part romance, part erotic reverie, part existential road movie—the film follows Faithfull’s character as she rides her motorcycle across Europe, drifting between memory, fantasy, and desire. With its hypnotic tone, iconic styling, and Faithfull’s unforgettable screen presence, it has become an enduring cult title closely associated with the era’s fashion, music, and countercultural imagery.

Poster design
A beautifully atmospheric, design-forward Japanese composition: Faithfull stands front and centre in glossy black leathers, framed by a looming close-up of Delon’s face and a soft-focus romantic vignette, while the vertical French title “la motocyclette” runs down the upper centre in striking yellow. The bold Japanese title あの胸にもういちど is rendered in expressive, brush-like typography across the lower portion, with the distributor mark present at the bottom—an exceptionally displayable late-1960s Japanese B2 that looks spectacular framed.
