This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1971 for the first release of The Omega Man.
The Omega Man (1971) is a post-apocalyptic action film directed by Boris Sagal, starring Charlton Heston as one of the last survivors of a pandemic. Written by John and Joyce Corrington, the film is based on Richard Matheson’s 1954 novel I Am Legend. Produced by Walter Seltzer, who would later collaborate with Heston on Soylent Green (1973), The Omega Man is the second film adaptation of Matheson’s novel, following The Last Man on Earth (1964), which starred Vincent Price. A third adaptation, I Am Legend (2007), starring Will Smith, took inspiration from this film’s tagline.
