On Sale

This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1967 for the first release of Ultraman: Monster Movie Feature (長篇怪獣映画 ウルトラマン), the first theatrical film in the Ultraman franchise—a feature compiled from re-edited material from the original TV series and released by Toho on 22 July 1967.

Notably, it was released as a double feature with King Kong Escapes and is documented as grossing ¥200 million in just three Tokyo cinemas during its run.

This is an ultra-rare, cinema-used example—a genuine surviving piece of tokusatsu theatre history that would have been displayed at the time, nearly six decades ago.

Design
A fantastic “all-monsters” spectacle layout dominated by Ultraman in his classic Spacium Beam pose, surrounded by kaiju highlights (with names called out on the artwork), aircraft, and the Science Patrol, all anchored by the enormous red vertical title 「ウルトラマン」. The musical-staff border and bold colour collage give it that unmistakable mid-’60s Toho/tsuburaya-era energy—one of the most iconic and displayable early Ultraman theatrical designs.

Condition
Good. Please review the photos—they show the exact poster for sale. Cinema-used, with a tear and small area of paper loss, plus additional signs of handling and use consistent with age (folds, wear, and minor surface marks). It will display very well once framed, and we have taken its condition into account when pricing.

This poster is an original Japanese theatrical B2 from the 1967 first-release campaign.
It is not a reproduction or a reprint.

It is over 59 years old!
