This is an original Japanese B2 poster for the 1999 Japanese theatrical release of Wild Things, John McNaughton’s provocative crime thriller starring Matt Dillon, Kevin Bacon, Neve Campbell and Denise Richards. Its striking pink-and-black design captures the film’s mixture of temptation, deception and shifting loyalties.

Film background
Originally released in America in 1998, Wild Things unfolds in an affluent Florida community, where accusations against a school guidance counsellor lead to an increasingly tangled web of money, manipulation and betrayal. Bill Murray adds memorable comic relief as an unconventional lawyer.

The film’s succession of reversals is central to its appeal, with the Japanese campaign explicitly challenging audiences to keep up with its countless twists.

Poster design
Neve Campbell and Denise Richards emerge from vivid magenta water, their direct gazes dominating the composition. Above them, a broad black field carries the principal cast names in bold white Japanese lettering, while the vertical tagline 「あそんでア・ゲ・ル」 adds a teasing note.
