This is an original Japanese B1 promotional poster produced in 2017 for the “Your Name.” Exhibition (君の名は。展) held at Matsuya Ginza (松屋銀座) – 8th Floor Event Square. This is not a movie poster—it was created specifically to advertise the limited-time retail exhibition, which ran 8–20 March 2017 (as printed on the poster), with opening hours listed as 10:00–20:00 (final day early close noted on the sheet).

Film background
Released in 2016, Makoto Shinkai’s Your Name. became one of the defining Japanese animated films of its era—an emotionally charged body-swap / fate-and-time romance set between Tokyo and rural Japan, celebrated for its storytelling, music, and extraordinary sky-and-light visuals. The film’s cultural impact quickly expanded beyond cinemas into dedicated events and exhibitions such as this one.

Poster design
An exceptionally beautiful, high-impact piece built around the film’s iconic key visual: Taki and Mitsuha separated by city and countryside beneath a vast sky, with the comet trail cutting diagonally across the composition and a radiant starburst at centre. The elegant vertical title typography (“君の名は。展”) and the event block at upper right clearly frame it as an exhibition advertisement, while the “MATSUYA GINZA” branding anchors it to the Ginza venue. In B1, the artwork is genuinely stunning on the wall—one of the most displayable modern anime promotional designs of the 2010s.
