"Our Man Flint", Original Japanese Movie Poster 1966, B1 Size (c. 72.8 × 103 cm)

Sale price $250.00

This is an original Japanese B1 theatrical poster printed for the Japanese release of Our Man Flint (電撃フリント GO!GO!1作戦), the classic 1960s spy spoof directed by Daniel Mann and starring James Coburn as super-agent Derek Flint, with Lee J. Cobb and Gila Golan. A quintessential piece of mid-’60s pop espionage cinema—slick, tongue-in-cheek, and designed to rival Bond with brighter colours and bigger laughs.

Design
A superb, high-energy Japanese layout that leans into pure “agent spectacle”: Coburn in tuxedo dominates the centre, posed with pistol, while a giant close-up face and a key held to the eye create a bold graphic hook. Around him, the poster packs in kinetic set-pieces—jet, explosions, brawls, and chaotic action vignettes—while the giant wine glass motif (with the English title OUR MAN FLINT printed inside) adds a playful, very 1960s visual punch. The typography is peak Showa pop: the massive red title 電撃フリント and the exuberant GO!GO!1作戦 anchor the bottom with real lobby-stopping impact.

Condition

This is a genuine theatre-used example with a small tear that has been professionally repaired with archival tape (not by us—see the additional close-up photo).
