This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1981 for Rintarō’s sequel to Galaxy Express 999, based on Leiji Matsumoto’s universe. Tetsurō and Maetel face their most elegiac departure amid machine-human destinies.
Design
Futurist romance: Maetel and Tetsurō in close foreground while a gleaming spaceport runway recedes to the monumental Andromeda terminal. Rich star field, violet clouds, and a parade of allies and adversaries along the left edge—classic Toei/Matsumoto theatrical key art. (Eirin code 81415 present.)
