“Dragon Ball Z: The Return of Cooler” / “Dragon Ball Z: Clash!! 10 Billion Power Warriors” (ドラゴンボールZ 激突!!100億パワーの戦士たち), Original Release Japanese Movie Poster 1992, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) A299
This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1992 for the first Japanese release of Dragon Ball Z: The Return of Cooler, released in Japan as ドラゴンボールZ 激突!!100億パワーの戦士たち. Produced by Toei Animation and based on the legendary manga by Akira Toriyama, this film was released as part of the 1992 Spring Toei Anime Fair.
This is a highly attractive original theatrical poster from the golden early-1990s period of Dragon Ball Z cinema, featuring Super Saiyan Goku, Vegeta, and the terrifying presence of Metal Cooler.
Film background
Released in 1992, Dragon Ball Z: The Return of Cooler is the sixth Dragon Ball Z theatrical film and the sequel to Cooler’s Revenge. The story sees Cooler return in a new mechanical form after merging with the Big Gete Star, creating an army of Metal Coolers and threatening New Namek.
The film is especially remembered for its intense action, the return of Cooler as a major villain, and the rare pairing of Goku and Vegeta fighting together against overwhelming mechanical enemies. For collectors, it represents one of the most iconic theatrical-era Dragon Ball Z films of the early 1990s.
Poster design
This Japanese B2 uses a bold, dramatic composition with enormous impact. The background is dominated by the cold, metallic face of Metal Cooler, rendered at massive scale and giving the poster an immediate sense of threat.
In the foreground, Super Saiyan Goku stands battered but defiant, one arm raised in victory or challenge, while Vegeta stands behind him in profile. Gohan charges forward at the right, creating a strong diagonal of motion across the poster.
The red vertical slogan reads:
「どんなヤツでも相手になるぜ!! 全開パワーの最終決戦」
A natural rendering is:
“We’ll take on anyone!! The final battle at full power.”
The lower orange section carries the Dragon Ball Z logo and the Japanese title:
「激突!!100億パワーの戦士たち」
“Clash!! 10 Billion Power Warriors.”
The top-right emblem ’92春 東映アニメフェア confirms its release as part of the 1992 Spring Toei Anime Fair, while the lower credits identify Akira Toriyama as the original creator.
The result is a superb early-1990s anime theatrical poster: bright, powerful, action-heavy, and immediately recognisable.
