This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 2003 for the Japanese release of Kill Bill: Vol. 1, Quentin Tarantino’s hyper‑stylised martial‑arts revenge epic starring Uma Thurman as “The Bride”. Drawing on samurai cinema, kung‑fu films and exploitation classics, the movie became a global hit and a major pop‑culture touchstone. 

Design
Perhaps the most iconic image from the film’s marketing, the poster features Uma Thurman standing full‑length in her yellow leather riding suit inspired by Bruce Lee, katana held casually at her side. The entire background is a solid, saturated yellow, overlaid with enormous black block letters spelling “KILL BILL”, which dwarf the central figure and create a powerful graphic statement. Along the bottom, the cast list—Thurman, Lucy Liu, David Carradine, Daryl Hannah, Michael Madsen, Sonny Chiba and Chiaki Kuriyama—runs in bold black type, while the red Japanese release date “10.25” and small Japanese logo 「キル・ビル」 add punches of colour. This design is pure Tarantino: loud, stylish and instantly recognisable.
