"KISS", Original Release Japanese Promotional Poster 1977, B2 Size (51 x 73cm) N94

Sale price $125.00

This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in Showa 52 (1977) as a special supplement for The Music magazine’s New Year issue, featuring the American hard rock band KISS.

By 1977, KISS had risen to international fame with their flamboyant stage personas, elaborate costumes, and explosive live shows, propelled by the success of albums such as Destroyer (1976) and Rock and Roll Over (1976). The band’s lineup at the time—Paul Stanley (Starchild), Gene Simmons (Demon), Ace Frehley (Spaceman), and Peter Criss (Catman)—is captured here in full makeup and costume in a striking posed photograph taken in front of New York City’s Federal Hall with American flags flying behind them.

This fold-out poster was issued as a magazine bonus rather than a theatrical or retail poster, making surviving examples especially scarce. The design features the KISS logo in bold blue lettering at the lower left, with The Music magazine branding in the lower right. As an ephemeral publication insert, few copies were preserved in good condition.

It is over 48 years old!

This poster is in excellent condition. Please refer to the imagery provided (both front and back) as this is the exact poster that is for sale.
