"One Piece: Dead End Adventure" (ワンピース デッドエンドの冒険), Original Japanese Movie Poster 2003, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) N213
This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 2003 for One Piece: Dead End Adventure, the fourth theatrical feature in the franchise and the first film directed by Konosuke Uda, who later became series director of the anime.
Dead End Adventure (デッドエンドの冒険) was released by Toei Animation in March 2003. The story follows Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates as they enter the “Dead End Race,” a dangerous and lawless competition between pirate crews, where survival itself is the ultimate prize. The film features original characters created exclusively for the movie, including the imposing Gasparde and bounty hunter Shuraiya. Its theme song, “sailing day” by BUMP OF CHICKEN, added to its popularity in Japan.
The poster design captures the energy of the film: Luffy grins defiantly in the foreground, surrounded by his crew as their ships charge forward in the deadly race. Bold Japanese taglines emphasize adventure, peril, and the thrill of competition, while the vibrant composition reflects the early 2000s peak of One Piece’s theatrical runs.
