This is an original Japanese B2 promotional poster printed in 1990 by Animage Records to advertise their Best Collection soundtrack releases, featuring some of Studio Ghibli’s most beloved films. These posters were distributed in limited quantities to record shops and were never sold commercially, making them highly collectible survivors today.

The poster features a central illustration from Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (風の谷のナウシカ), framed by scenes from other iconic Ghibli works including Kiki’s Delivery Service (魔女の宅急便), My Neighbor Totoro (となりのトトロ), and Castle in the Sky (天空の城ラピュタ). Jiji the cat, Totoro, Kiki, Nausicaä, and the children from Laputa appear in vignette-style panels, bordered by an ornate patterned frame. The design captures both the charm of the characters and the importance of Ghibli’s musical legacy.

Produced by Tokuma Japan Communications and distributed under the Animage Records label, this poster reflects the synergy between Ghibli films and their celebrated soundtracks, which became bestsellers in Japan and abroad during the 1980s and 1990s.
