This is an original licensed promotional B2 poster produced in 1989 in Japan for Hayao Miyazaki’s Kiki’s Delivery Service (魔女の宅急便). Issued for record-store / retail display to promote the film’s Image Album ahead of the summer 1989 roadshow (not a cinema one-sheet), it carries period rights for Eiko Kadono / Nibariki / Tokuma Shoten and Tokuma Japan / Tokuma Communications.
Poster design
A striking deep-blue silhouette of Kiki flying on her broom with Jiji stretched behind dominates the sheet against a pale ground. Above, the bold red Japanese title runs beneath the line ’89夏、全国洋画系ロードショー, while the English headline “KIKI” is paired with the memorable copy “I was really down for a while, but I’m okay now.” Along the lower band, pale blue text announces the Image Album release on April 10, centered with a small printed portrait of Kiki. The spare layout, generous negative space and elegant silhouette give it classic early Ghibli promo appeal.
Condition
Very good. Light handling creases, age toning and some spotting are visible, especially near the upper left and on the blank reverse. Please review the photos—they show the exact poster for sale.
