This is an original Japanese B2 poster for the 1970s thriller/horror film Dogs, released in Japan on May 14, 1977.
Poster design
An absolute masterclass in restraint: a near‑black field detonated by a single gigantic snarling canine head, rendered with razor‑sharp highlights and a wet, visceral mouthful of teeth. The typography is equally confident—heavy red title blocks (ドッグ / DOGS) that read like warning labels.
The artwork is credited in‑plate to Seito (signature visible in the art). Seito is a highly regarded Japanese poster illustrator, also known for official Japanese “Star Wars” release poster artwork.
It is over 48 years old!
