This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1974 for the first release of Flesh Gordon with artwork by the famous Japanese illustrator SEITO.
Japanese B1 (71 x 100 cm, 27.8 x 39.4 in) very large size.
"Howard Ziehm & Michael Benveniste‘s “Flesh Gordon“ is truly a camp, sexploitation parody spoof, extremely loosely based upon the 1930’s pulp serial “Flash Gordon’s Trip To Mars” this association is further enhanced by SEITO`s finished artwork on the Japanese B2 film poster in its obvious homage to the pulp serial posters of the 30’s & 40’s…full of action, bright colours with the hero in prominence."
