This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1979 for Toei’s feature-length adaptation of Galaxy Express 999 (銀河鉄道999), directed by Rintarō from Leiji Matsumoto’s classic space epic. The film follows Tetsurō’s odyssey aboard the interstellar 999 with the enigmatic Maetel, crossing a galaxy of mechanized worlds—and features guest appearances by Captain Harlock and Queen Emeraldas from the wider Matsumoto universe.

Design
