"Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla" (ゴジラ対メカゴジラ), Original First Release Japanese Movie Poster 1974, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O316

Sale price $200.00

This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster issued by Toho for the first release of Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla—the 20th-anniversary Godzilla feature and the debut of the iconic cyber-kaiju. Directed by Jun Fukuda with music by Masaru Satō, the film pits Godzilla against a weaponized doppelgänger, with Anguirus and King Caesar entering the fray under Mount Fuji. Released during the Toho Champion Festival, these posters were displayed hard and are increasingly hard to find in strong condition.

Design
A dynamic painted showdown: Godzilla’s atomic breath collides with Mechagodzilla’s missile barrage amid volcanic reds and explosions, with Anguirus and King Caesar charging below. The bold two-tone Japanese title surges across the base, the round Champion Festival badge sits at top right, and a small photo inset of the research ship anchors the credits—a classic mid-’70s Toho layout that screams spectacle.

Condition
Very good to excellent overall. Small pinholes at the top edge/corners, a tiny nick at the upper left border, and light rubbing/scuffing along the lower red border (most visible at center and lower-left). Clean image area with only minor handling. Please review the photos; they show the exact poster for sale.
