High Anxiety (1977) is an American satirical comedy directed and produced by Mel Brooks, who also stars in the lead role. This marks Brooks' first film as a producer and his first speaking lead role, following his silent role in Silent Movie. The film features veteran Brooks collaborators Harvey Korman, Cloris Leachman, and Madeline Kahn. A parody of both psychoanalysis and Alfred Hitchcock's films, High Anxiety blends humor and suspense in true Brooks fashion.
