"Kids" (キッズ), Original Japanese 30th‑Anniversary Roadshow Movie Poster 2025, Rare Theatre Used, B1 Size (c.72 × 103 cm) GA25

Sale price $300.00

This is an original Japanese B1 poster printed for the Japan roadshow, marking 30 years since Larry Clark’s groundbreaking 1995 debut Kids (written by Harmony Korine). Issued for the 2025 revival release in Japan (配給:鈴正/weber CINEMA CLUB・提供:weber CINEMA CLUB).

It is very likely that this poster was taken off the wall in one of the relatively small number of theatres that showed this cult film`s re-release in Japan. In a digital age, there were not many B1 posters printed for this film`s re-release. The verso of this poster shows where the poster was affixed using double sided foam tape. In a B1 size this poster was not for sale and strictly supposed to be destroyed or returned to the distributer after it`s use. Therefore, it is a lucky survivor.

Design
Clean, high‑impact key art built around the four‑quadrant color mosaic of the main cast with the oversized KIDS title cutting through the grid, and the Japanese title キッズ set beneath. A bold Japanese catch line (“SEX、ドラッグ、暴力にまみれたニューヨークのストリート・キッズの24時間…”) anchors the image to the film’s raw subject matter, while the lower credit block (“film from LARRY CLARK ‘KIDS’”) keeps the layout minimal and gallery‑clean—an iconic, pop‑graphic look that suits the revival campaign perfectly.

Cultural impact
Premiering in 1995, Kids detonated in world cinema with its raw, vérité portrait of New York teens over one sweltering day—skate culture, sex, drugs, and the HIV crisis depicted with unnerving immediacy. It launched the screen careers of Chloë Sevigny and Rosario Dawson, announced Harmony Korine as a formidable new voice, and sparked fierce debate about realism vs. exploitation that still follows the film. Its street casting, documentary edge, and downtown aesthetic influenced independent filmmaking, youth photography, fashion, and music videos for decades after—making this official 2025 Japanese revival B1 especially desirable.

Condition is excellent.
