“Tante Zita” (若草の萌えるころ), Original Release Japanese Movie Poster 1969 (film 1968), B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O858
This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1969 for the first Japanese release of Tante Zita (original title: Tante Zita / Zita), released in Japan as 若草の萌えるころ. The film opened theatrically in Japan on 19 March 1969, distributed by Universal (ユニヴァーサル).
Directed by Robert Enrico, this is a poetic French coming-of-age drama starring Joanna Shimkus as Annie, alongside Jose Maria Flotats, Katina Paxinou, and Suzanne Flon. As Annie faces the slow decline of her aunt Zita, she drifts into the Paris night—an intimate portrait of grief, first love, and the painful moment adolescence gives way to adulthood.
Poster design
A beautifully restrained, romantic Japanese design built around a hand-in-hand couple walking through a lush garden path, surrounded by deep greens and soft florals. The vertical Japanese copy emphasises its youthful, lyrical tone, while the large pink title 若草の萌えるころ anchors the lower field with elegant impact. A superb, highly frameable late-1960s European arthouse B2.
