“Paris, Texas” (パリ,テキサス), Original Release Japanese Movie Poster 1985 (film 1984), B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) B264

Sale price $250.00

This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1985 for the first Japanese release of Paris, Texas (パリ,テキサス), directed by Wim Wenders—winner of the Palme d’Or at the 1984 Cannes Film Festival (as highlighted at the top of the sheet).

Starring Harry Dean Stanton, Nastassja Kinski, and Dean Stockwell, Paris, Texas is a modern American odyssey—an aching story of disappearance, memory, and redemption that moves from desert silence to intimate emotional reckoning. With its legendary imagery, Ry Cooder’s slide-guitar score, and Wenders’ empathetic eye, it remains one of the defining films of 1980s world cinema.

Poster design
A spectacular Japanese design built around the film’s most iconic visual motif: a lone figure walking through a vast desert landscape, confronted by the dreamlike, oversized presence of Kinski’s face hovering above the horizon. The bold red title パリ,テキサス anchors the lower field, with the English PARIS, TEXAS boxed beneath, and the Cannes Palme d’Or emblem at the top. Clean, cinematic, and exceptionally frameable—this is one of the strongest Japanese B2 designs for any Wim Wenders title.

It is over 40 years old!
