"Pulp Fiction" (パルプ・フィクション), Original Japanese Video Release Poster 1994, B2 Size (c.51 × 73 cm) Q6

This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1994 for the video release of Pulp Fiction, Quentin Tarantino’s landmark crime film. What makes this example especially desirable is that it uses artwork in the style of the famous US one-sheet, centred on Uma Thurman as Mia Wallace reclining on the bed with cigarette, paperback, and pistol. Japanese posters using this design are exceptionally scarce; we have only seen this style in Japan twice, making it a very rare piece of original Japanese Tarantino paper.

Film background
Released in 1994, Pulp Fiction is widely regarded as Tarantino’s masterpiece and one of the defining films of the 1990s. Its fractured narrative structure, razor-sharp dialogue, black humour, pop-cultural density, and open embrace of homage and pastiche helped make it a genuine cultural watershed. The film stars John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman, Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Amanda Plummer, Maria de Medeiros, Ving Rhames, Eric Stoltz, Rosanna Arquette, Christopher Walken, and Bruce Willis, and its influence on later cinema is hard to overstate. It is now routinely cited among the greatest films of the modern era.

Poster design
This is a superb and instantly recognisable design built around the image most closely associated with the film: Uma Thurman as Mia Wallace, cool and enigmatic, stretched across the bed in black dress and heels, cigarette in hand. The vivid orange-red title panel, yellow script logo, and worn paperback-pulp styling perfectly capture the film’s mixture of retro fetishism and contemporary attitude. Because this Japanese poster adopts the visual language of the celebrated US version rather than a more conventional local campaign layout, it has a particularly strong crossover appeal for collectors of both Japanese and international movie paper. It is bold, highly displayable, and one of the most iconic poster images of 1990s cinema.

Good / Very Good. Please review the photos—they show the exact poster for sale. There is also a noticeable loss / damage area at the lower-right corner. Even so, the main image displays strongly, with rich colour and excellent overall wall impact.
