This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1968 for Roman Polanski’s landmark psychological horror Rosemary’s Baby, starring Mia Farrow and John Cassavetes, with Ruth Gordon in her Academy Award–winning role. A William Castle production for Paramount, the film remains a cornerstone of modern horror and urban paranoia.

Design
A superb Japanese adaptation of the iconic U.S. key art: Rosemary’s pale profile floats against a misted sky while a pram silhouettes atop a crag—pure dread distilled. The Japanese title 「ローズマリーの赤ちゃん」 blazes in vivid pink across the black rock, with an inset green-tinted portrait of Farrow near the foot. Bilingual touches (“Rosemary’s Baby” credit and “a William Castle Production”) and the striking vertical tagline at upper right give this sheet a uniquely Japanese, late-’60s look.
