This is an original Japanese B1 arcade promotional poster issued in Japan in 1999 for SPAWN: In The Demon’s Hand, CAPCOM’s officially licensed Spawn title produced for SEGA’s NAOMI hardware, based on Todd McFarlane’s cult comic anti-hero. Posters of this kind were produced in very limited quantities for arcade operators and in-store display and were never sold commercially, making authentic surviving B1 examples exceptionally difficult to find—particularly in excellent condition.
A late-1990s arcade-era crossover piece (CAPCOM × Spawn) with strong collector appeal across Capcom / NAOMI, arcade ephemera, and Spawn fandom, this is a bold, graphic display poster from the original release period.
Poster design
A high-impact, design-forward composition dominated by Spawn’s iconic visual language: a scarlet cape slicing across the sheet in sweeping, blade-like folds, with heavy steel chains whipping through the foreground. The central figure lunges forward with a sharp, aggressive silhouette, while the background resolves into a sepia/orange field of comic panels—creating a layered “comic-to-arcade” effect that feels distinctly 1999. Strong original-era branding anchors the piece: the large SPAWN logo at top, the tagline “Access the cool & dark mysterious world of SPAWN.” across the lower border, plus CAPCOM and NAOMI logos and the 1999 copyright line confirming an authentic period promotional print.
