"The Films of Andy Warhol (Retrospective)", Original Japanese Poster 1991, B1 Size (71 x 103cm)
This is an original Japanese B1 poster printed in 1991 for The Films of Andy Warhol retrospective (アンディ・ウォーホル映画回顧展). A bold black “A” on electric yellow dominates the design, with a monochrome portrait of Warhol at lower left. The program block lists Factory-era titles including Eat (1963), Kiss (1963), Empire (1964), Beauty #2 (1965), The Chelsea Girls (1966), and Lonesome Cowboys (1967). Credits read Art Director: Keiichi Tanami and Photographer: Gretchen Berg.
First time we have had it in our gallery. This is the scarce large B1 format (not the smaller B5 chirashi), produced for venue display during the 1991 retrospective.
It is over 33 years old!
