This is an original Japanese B2 promotional poster printed in 1982 for the first cinema release in the Urusei Yatsura (うる星やつら) film series—based on Rumiko Takahashi’s legendary manga and one of the defining pop-cultural anime properties of the early 1980s. Film background
By the early 1980s, Urusei Yatsura had become a phenomenon—mixing sci-fi comedy, romance chaos, and teen absurdity around the iconic alien heroine Lum and her endlessly unfortunate human love interest.
