To our knowledge, this poster is one of the very few that still exist. This poster has not sold in any large auctions in the West, or the East. We came across it thorough a serious collector of family generations.

This almost 5′ tall STB poster features fantastic artwork. The tatekan STB format had much lower print numbers compared to regular Japanese B2s. They are very rare, especially for more popular film titles, and are highly sought after by collectors today.
This 1956 Epic Historical Drama film is based on Leo Toltsoy's 1869 novel with the same name, "War and Peace." A huge success having been directed by King Vidor, and starring the charming, Audrey Hepburn, with Mel Ferrer. They co-starred as husband and wife in the film.
