Original Japanese Audrey Hepburn Movie Posters
Audrey Hepburn (1929–1993) remains one of the most celebrated actresses and enduring style icons in cinematic history. Renowned for her elegance, distinctive screen presence and remarkable versatility, the Academy Award-winning British actress starred in some of Hollywood's most beloved films, including Roman Holiday (1953), Sabrina (1954), Funny Face (1957), Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961), Charade (1963), My Fair Lady (1964) and How to Steal a Million (1966).
The Audrey Hepburn collection is one of the most important areas of Japan Poster Shop's inventory, bringing together an extensive selection of original Japanese theatrical posters spanning her celebrated career. Particular highlights include exceptionally rare Japanese first-release posters for Roman Holiday and Breakfast at Tiffany's, among the most desirable and historically significant examples of Hollywood cinema advertising produced in Japan.
Japanese theatrical posters featuring Hepburn are especially admired for their elegant portraiture, sophisticated colour palettes, illustrated artwork and distinctive Japanese typography. Original first-release examples from the 1950s and early 1960s are increasingly difficult to acquire, particularly in excellent condition, and the finest surviving examples are highly sought after by collectors of vintage cinema and graphic design.
Our collection encompasses a wide variety of original Japanese formats, including standard B2 posters, the exceptionally scarce tall STB Tatekan format and large-format B0 theatrical posters. Alongside rare and important first-release examples, we also offer original Japanese theatrical re-release posters, providing more accessible opportunities to collect the artwork of Hepburn's most celebrated films.
From rare, museum-quality first-release posters to beautifully designed later theatrical issues, this collection reflects both Audrey Hepburn's enduring cultural significance and the distinctive artistry of Japanese cinema advertising. Each poster is individually sourced and catalogued in Japan, with careful attention to authenticity, release history, condition and rarity.
