Sale price $125.00

This is an original Japanese A4 theatrical programme / pamphlet produced for the Japanese release of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly — released in Japan as 続・夕陽のガンマン/地獄の決斗. The front cover carries the United Artists mark and presents a striking Japanese design featuring Clint Eastwood with revolver, the gallows motif, and the Japanese title treatment across the centre.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is a 1966 Italian epic Spaghetti Western directed by Sergio Leone, starring Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, and Eli Wallach. With its unforgettable Ennio Morricone score, vast widescreen compositions, and operatic approach to violence and suspense, the film became one of the defining Westerns of post-war cinema and the final instalment in Leone’s “Dollars Trilogy”.

Issued for the film’s Japanese theatrical release, this programme is a superb period companion piece to one of the most famous Westerns ever made. The Japanese title 続・夕陽のガンマン presents the film as the continuation of For a Few Dollars More in the Japanese market, while the subtitle 地獄の決斗 gives the release its dramatic local campaign identity.

The back cover uses a vivid magenta ground with three film stills: Clint Eastwood beneath the noose, Lee Van Cleef armed with pistol, and Eli Wallach as Tuco. The English title THE GOOD, THE BAD and THE UGLY appears at the bottom, giving the programme strong bilingual display appeal.
