This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1973 for the Disney 50th-anniversary re-release of Alice in Wonderland in Japan, distributed domestically by Buena Vista. This commemorative reissue introduced a newly prepared Japanese dub for local cinemas. 

Film background

Walt Disney’s 1951 feature adapts Lewis Carroll’s classic and has since become one of the studio’s most beloved animated films. The Japanese theatrical history begins with a 1953 release, followed by this 1973 “Disney 50 Years” revival and later reissues. 

Poster design

A vibrant, character-packed composition: Alice occupies the center against a bold red swirl, surrounded by the White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter’s tea party, talking flowers, and Caterpillar by the right border. The playful 「ふしぎの国のアリス」 title sits large across the top, with the “HAPPY 50 YEARS” anniversary badge at upper right and the Buena Vista credit and Eirin seal along the foot—hallmarks of a domestic theatrical sheet from the 1973 celebration.
