"Alien" (エイリアン), Original Japanese First-Release Movie Poster 1979, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O435

This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1979 for Ridley Scott’s genre-defining sci-fi horror Alien, starring Sigourney Weaver, Tom Skerritt, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton, John Hurt, Ian Holm, and Yaphet Kotto. “In space no one can hear you scream” became a modern marketing classic.

Design
The iconic egg on a field of deep black—its fissure glowing eerie green—floats above the stark “ALIEN” logotype and the Japanese tagline. A minimalist, museum-worthy composition that crystallised the film’s dread.

Condition
It is extremely hard to find this poster in excellent / near mint condition. We have handled many in the past (still listed on our site) and as the poster is black in colour, it almost always has some fold lines or markings on it. This poster almost uniquely has been beautifully preserved!
