This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed for the 1962 first domestic release of Yasujirō Ozu’s final film, produced and distributed by Shochiku. Starring Chishū Ryū and Shima Iwashita, the film follows a widower who slowly recognises his duty to arrange a marriage for his daughter—an autumnal summation of Ozu’s lifelong themes of family, change, and resignation. Ozu died the following year on his 60th birthday, making this title a cornerstone for Japanese‑cinema collectors.
