This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 2002 for the first Japanese release of Austin Powers in Goldmember. Directed by Jay Roach, the third instalment in the comedy series stars Mike Myers, Beyoncé Knowles and Michael Caine, combining spy-film parody with an exuberant celebration of retro fashion and pop culture.

The film follows Austin as he travels back to 1975 to rescue his kidnapped father, fellow British agent Nigel Powers, played by Caine. Joining forces with Foxy Cleopatra, played by Beyoncé, he confronts Dr. Evil and the eccentric Goldmember in an adventure packed with elaborate disguises, celebrity cameos and deliberately outrageous humour.

Myers returns in multiple roles, while familiar supporting characters—including Mini-Me, played by Verne Troyer—continue the series’ affectionate send-up of Bond villains and international espionage.

The Japanese poster captures that irreverent spirit through a brilliant psychedelic swirl of lime green, lavender, turquoise, yellow and hot pink, scattered with flower motifs. Its saturated colours and curved shapes evoke the decorative language of the 1960s and 1970s.

A large portrait of Austin Powers dominates the centre. Wearing his blue velvet suit, white lace cravat and trademark black glasses, he points a pistol towards the foreground. Beyoncé’s Foxy Cleopatra stands prominently in front, her golden-yellow outfit and voluminous hair adding another strong focal point.

Behind them, Dr. Evil and Mini-Me repeat their familiar little-finger gesture, while Michael Caine’s Nigel Powers appears at the right in a pinstripe suit, holding a cocktail. A luxury car and the Hollywood skyline complete the collage.

The enormous “GOLDMEMBER” title sweeps across the lower section in lettering with a printed gold texture, outlined in orange and black. The Japanese title sits directly beneath it in bold white lettering, while the three principal stars’ names stretch across the top in yellow.

The result is a colourful, immediately recognisable design with particular appeal for collectors of Austin Powers, Mike Myers, Beyoncé and early-2000s comedy cinema.
