This is an original Japanese STB / tatekan signboard poster (formed from two B2 panels) produced for the first Japanese theatrical release of Bedazzled, the 1967 British fantasy-comedy directed by Stanley Donen and starring Peter Cook, Dudley Moore, and Raquel Welch. Presented here in the highly desirable tall cinema signboard format, this is a superb surviving example of late-1960s Japanese theatre display paper.

Film background
Released in 1967, Bedazzled is a sharp, satirical twist on the Faust legend: a lonely man makes a deal with the Devil in exchange for seven wishes—only to discover that every wish comes with a brilliantly cruel loophole. Part swinging-’60s comedy, part philosophical farce, the film has become a cult favourite for its wit, its period style, and Raquel Welch’s unforgettable star-power.

Poster design
A spectacular, high-impact Japan-only STB composition that perfectly captures the film’s pop-art absurdity. The upper panel is dominated by huge close-up glamour and saturated colour, while the lower panel pushes into cheeky, collage-like spectacle: bold psychedelic lettering, swingin’ visuals, and vignette scenes that sell the film as both fantasy and adult comedy. The tall tatekan presentation makes the design feel like a full cinema marquee—eye-catching from across the room and genuinely stunning on the wall.

About STB (Tatekan) posters
STBs (tatekans) are tall, two-panel Japanese cinema signboard posters measuring roughly 51 × 145 cm (often also cited around 20 × 58 in / 50.8 × 147.3 cm). Formed from two B2 sheets and intended for display in signboards and theatre units, they were made for visibility rather than permanence—which is why surviving examples are so prized by collectors today.
