“Blood: The Last Vampire” (ブラッド ザ・ラスト・ヴァンパイア), Original Release Japanese Movie Poster 2000, B1 Size (71 × 103 cm)

Sale price $200.00

This is an original Japanese B1 poster printed in 2000 for the first theatrical release of Blood: The Last Vampire—Production I.G’s moody, digital-age horror/action directed by Hiroyuki Kitakubo, co-planned by Mamoru Oshii, with character designs by Katsuya Terada and voice casting featuring Yūki Kudō.

Film background

Set on a U.S. air base in late-1960s Japan, a taciturn teen named Saya—armed with a katana and a secret past—hunts shape-shifting chiropterans hiding among humans. The film’s painterly lighting, hybrid digital workflow, and terse, hard-edged tone made it a cult touchstone that seeded a long-running multimedia franchise.

Poster design

A brooding indigo palette frames Saya’s red-eyed stare at center while a fanged chiropteran looms behind. A gleaming vertical katana bisects the composition; below, Saya’s silhouette stands against a chain-link fence at dusk. The left border carries the stark slogan 「斬る――それが少女の宿命」 (“Cut—such is the girl’s fate”). The hand-rendered title BLOOD bleeds in crimson above THE LAST VAMPIRE. Along the footer, bilingual credits name Director 北久保弘之, Co-Planner 押井守, Character Designer 寺田克也, and Cast (Voice) 工藤夕貴, with studio/format marks, a row of film-strip stills, and the authentic 映倫 seal and Dolby notice—hallmarks of an issued theatrical country sheet.
