“Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc” (劇場版『チェンソーマン レゼ篇』), Original Japanese Double-Sided B1 Theatrical Poster 2025, MAPPA / Toho, Light-Box Version, B1 Size (c. 72.8 × 103 cm)
This is an original Japanese double-sided B1 theatrical poster produced for the first cinema release of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc (劇場版『チェンソーマン レゼ篇』), the 2025 anime feature based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s internationally acclaimed manga. Produced by MAPPA and distributed in Japan by Toho, the film adapts the hugely popular Reze Arc, one of the most emotionally charged and visually explosive chapters in the series.
This is the scarce oversized B1 light-box version, printed double-sided with the reverse image mirrored for illuminated cinema display. B1 posters are significantly larger than standard Japanese B2 posters, and double-sided theatrical light-box examples for major modern anime releases are particularly difficult to source.
Film background
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc marks the first theatrical feature adaptation of Chainsaw Man, bringing Denji and Reze’s dangerous, romantic, and violent story to the big screen. The film’s Japanese release campaign presented the Reze Arc as a major theatrical event, with the poster carrying the release date 9.19 FRI.
The story centres on Denji’s encounter with Reze, a mysterious girl whose connection with him blurs the line between affection, manipulation, betrayal, and explosive violence. Within the wider Chainsaw Man universe, the Reze Arc is especially prized by fans for its mixture of tenderness, brutality, humour, tragedy, and action.
Poster design
This is one of the most powerful theatrical images from the film’s Japanese campaign. The composition is dominated by Denji / Chainsaw Man and Reze / Bomb Girl, locked together in a central image that reads simultaneously as a violent collision and a charged romantic embrace. The design perfectly captures the emotional contradiction at the heart of the arc: attraction and danger, youth and destruction, intimacy and betrayal.
The surrounding red montage brings together key characters from the film and wider story world, including Makima, Aki Hayakawa, Power, Angel Devil, Beam, Kobeni, and others. The entire sheet is driven by a saturated warning-red palette, offset by black, white, and teal highlights, giving it exceptional modern theatrical impact.
The vertical Japanese tagline reads:
「炸裂する少年と少女の夏」
“The explosive summer of a boy and a girl.”
At the bottom, the poster includes the theatrical campaign line:
「全世界待望!発行部数3,000万部突破の大人気コミック、初の映画化!」
“Worldwide anticipation! The first movie adaptation of the hugely popular comic with over 30 million copies in circulation!”
The result is a superb modern anime poster: graphic, violent, romantic, and instantly recognisable.
About the format
This is the Japanese B1 format, measuring approximately 72.8 × 103 cm / 28.7 × 40.6 in. B1 posters are roughly twice the area of standard Japanese B2 posters and were used for larger, higher-impact cinema display.
This example is especially desirable because it is double-sided light-box printed. The reverse carries a mirrored version of the artwork, allowing the colours to remain strong when illuminated from behind in a cinema display case. This is a premium theatrical format, distinct from ordinary single-sided posters, retail wall prints, or later decorative reproductions.
For collectors, the combination of B1 scale, double-sided cinema light-box printing, and a major modern anime theatrical release makes this a particularly strong example.
Condition
Excellent overall condition, with a very small tear at the top centre, neatly repaired on the reverse using archival tape. This has been taken into consideration when pricing the poster.
The poster presents beautifully, with strong colour, crisp image detail, and excellent display impact. The double-sided printing gives the red theatrical artwork impressive depth and presence at full B1 scale.
