This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1990 for the release of Child’s Play 2, the second instalment in the killer‑doll franchise created by Don Mancini, directed by John Lafia and again featuring Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky.

Design
This exuberant design leans into Chucky’s status as a horror icon. A swirling purple vortex fills the centre, splattered with black ink textures. Cutting diagonally through it is a large silver knife, its blade reflecting the terrified faces of Andy and Chucky. Around the vortex, bright photo panels show Chucky in a range of expressions—from deceptively innocent doll to snarling slasher—framed in hot pink borders that pop against the dark background. At the bottom, a small full‑body shot of Chucky riding a toy from the famous guillotine‑gag scene anchors the composition, while the bold white and blood‑red Japanese logo 「チャイルド・プレイ2」 dominates the lower edge. The overall effect is chaotic, colourful and wonderfully 1990s video‑store horror.
