Japanese Poster Size Guide — B2, B1, STB, B0 & larger formats

An original Japanese B2 theatrical poster for Mick Garris’s Critters 2, released in Japan by Joypack Film on 29 October 1988. Also known as Critters 2: The Main Course, the sequel marked Garris’s feature directing debut. The Japanese artwork gives a single grinning alien the entire sheet, its claws curled around an enormous silver numeral 2.

In Excellent condition, with the fine white teeth and silver-tipped fur sharply defined against the blue night sky.

Film background

Two years after the first attack on Grover’s Bend, Brad Brown (Scott Grimes) returns to visit his grandmother for Easter. Eggs left behind by the aliens find their way into the town’s Easter egg hunt, where they begin to hatch. Brad joins forces with Charlie (Don Opper) and the returning bounty hunters. The Chiodo brothers created the creatures for the film, including the swarm that rolls through town as a single giant ball.

Poster design

A country road curves towards a farmhouse on the far-right horizon. In the foreground, the creature looks straight at the viewer through the loop of the silver 2. Between its claws sits the English question “DO YOU KNOW ME?” The Japanese title stretches across the foot of the sheet in red, with the small English title immediately above it.

Two lines across the top set up the encounter.

「史上最小の極悪エイリアン〔クリッター〕の地球滅亡作戦!」
“The smallest, most vicious aliens ever have a plan to wipe out Earth!”

「ブラッド少年、酔っぱらいチャーリー そしてバウンティー・ハンターの反撃は……?」
“How will young Brad, Charlie the drunk and the bounty hunters fight back…?”

Condition

Excellent overall. The reverse shows faint horizontal handling lines, with a small crease near the edge. The title and the creature’s outline show through the paper. Please review the front and reverse photographs for the full condition.
