This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1986 for the first theatrical release of Dan Oniroku: Snake and Whip, a Nikkatsu Roman Porno adaptation of SM author Dan Oniroku’s work, starring Ran Masaki (真咲乱). A late-era Roman Porno title, it leans into the studio’s signature mix of pulp melodrama and stylised eroticism.
Design
Sumptuous, hand-painted seduction: a reclining heroine bound in braided rope and chain, black lace and a scarlet sash sweeping across the composition. Lurid vertical copy shouts down the margins; the lime-green title cartouche 「団鬼六」 balances the oversized, brush-stroked red logotype 「蛇と鞭」. The palette—flesh tones, charcoal greys and urgent reds—screams high-impact 1980s exploitation art.
