This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1970 for the first release of Delinquent Girl Boss: Blossoming Night Dreams (ずべ公番長 夢は夜ひらく), the debut entry in Toei’s legendary sukeban action series directed by Kazuhiro Yamaguchi and headlined by Reiko Oshida.

Film background
Fresh out of reform school, tough-but-tender Mako (Reiko Oshida) tries to go straight but is dragged into Osaka’s nightlife underworld—locking horns with yakuza pimps, corrupt club owners, and rival girl gangs. Mixing pop-art fashion, go-go music and razor-slash violence, the film ignited a six-picture franchise that defined the “delinquent girl boss” sub-genre of early-70s pinky action cinema.

Poster design
Printed in the tall speed-poster format, this design features:

A bold collage of character portraits topped by a dramatic close-up of Reiko Oshida’s face.
Centre panel showcases Oshida in a zig-zag bikini, flanked by fellow sukeban and gangsters—a visual promise of style and swagger.

Title 夢は夜ひらく slashed vertically in vivid red brush-strokes against a white background, echoing neon club signage.
