This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1990 for the first release of Dragon Ball Z: The World’s Strongest.

Dragon Ball Z: The World’s Strongest (Japanese title: ドラゴンボールZ この世で一番強いヤツ, Doragon Bōru Zetto Kono Yo de Ichiban Tsuyoi Yatsu) is the second theatrical DBZ feature, directed by Daisuke Nishio and produced by Toei Animation. Premiering nationwide on 10 March 1990 as the headline attraction of Toei’s Spring Anime Fair, the programme also included the shorts Akuma-kun: Welcome to Demon Land! and Magical Witch Sally.

After the Dragon Balls are stolen from the frozen north, Dr. Kochin resurrects his mentor—evil biotech genius Dr. Wheelo—whose brain now resides inside a towering biomech fortress. Believing Goku to be the world’s strongest fighter, Wheelo kidnaps Master Roshi and Bulma, luring the Z-Fighters into a lethal gauntlet of cyborg warriors and icy energy labs. Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, and friends must combine Ki blasts, Kamehame-has, and Saiyan resilience to stop Wheelo from taking over Goku’s body and conquering the planet. The film delivers classic early-’90s Dragon Ball Z thrills: high-speed aerial combat, signature humour, and a thunderous Shunsuke Kikuchi score—all packed into a brisk 59-minute adventure.
