This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed for the 1981 theatrical re-release of Enter the Dragon, Bruce Lee’s landmark martial-arts adventure. Featuring an elaborate painted montage surrounded by a brilliant red border, this rare Japanese design brings together the film’s stars, action scenes and dragon imagery in a particularly dramatic composition.

Originally released in 1973, the film was directed by Robert Clouse and stars Bruce Lee, John Saxon and Jim Kelly, with Ahna Capri and Shih Kien. Its combination of martial arts, espionage and tournament spectacle helped establish Lee as an international cinema icon.

The story follows Lee’s character as he enters a martial-arts tournament on a secluded island to investigate its powerful host. The setting provides the backdrop for some of his most memorable screen appearances, from the underground fighting sequences to the celebrated confrontation among mirrors.

The poster places Bruce Lee at the centre, bare-chested with his arms raised beneath a horizontally extended pair of nunchaku. Above him, Jim Kelly reaches towards the viewer while John Saxon throws a punch, their exaggerated perspective giving the illustration an immediate sense of movement. Ahna Capri’s portrait crowns the composition.

An ornate red architectural frame, decorated with stylised golden faces, surrounds the montage. Smaller scenes fill the lower section: a helicopter, combat sequences, a bound figure and approaching police cars. Two golden dragons curl across the base, framing a central portrait of the film’s villain and a small harbour scene.

The warm gold, copper and brown tones of the illustration stand out against the saturated red surround. Across the bottom, the enormous Japanese title 「燃えよドラゴン」 appears in black lettering edged with yellow-orange flames. Small Warner Bros. and Nippon Herald Films credits complete the lower margin.
